Message From the Principal

Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term Two!

I love the start of a new term! Everyone comes back renewed and excited about what can be achieved. Our teachers have been busily preparing for another jam-packed term, coming in over their holidays to set up and get ready. As Mr Powles is taking a well-deserved long service break, I am honoured to be stepping in to his seat, and guiding the school community with the support of our amazing staff.

We warmly welcome the Brown, Kawadza, Norman and Radyn families to St Paul’s. We are also lucky enough to welcome the following new faces to our staff this term:

  • Mrs Irene O’Riordan – SWD Education Assistant in 4G
  • Ms Patrice Talbot – Aboriginal Teaching Assistant
  • Ms Kemi Shodipo – School Counsellor
  • Ms Bronte Ukich – 3rd Year Notre Dame Prac Student in 4G
  • Mrs Rebecca Drew – Canteen supervisor

Next week swimming begins for our students in Years Three to Six. Lessons will run over two weeks, concluding with our swimming carnival on Friday the 3rd of May. Our junior primary swimming lessons for Pre-Primary to Year Two commence in week 8, the day after WA Day, on the 4th of June.

Next week, we also celebrate ANZAC Day. We commemorate the day our Australian soldiers landed at Gallipoli and remember all those who have fought for our country. I will be attending the dawn ceremony at the RSL alongside Martha and Dean, our Head Girl and Boy, to lay a wreath on behalf of everyone at St Paul’s.

Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful weekend. Best of luck to all of our sporting teams starting their seasons this week!

Warm regards,

Clare Bennett

Acting Principal
